This Affiliate Disclosure explains our financial relationships with the brands and products we recommend on saltyfuelshop.com (the “Site”). It is provided in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising” (16 CFR Part 255) and applicable consumer-protection laws.
1. In Plain English
Some of the links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
We only recommend products we have personally used, researched, or believe may be genuinely useful to our audience. Our editorial opinions are our own. An affiliate relationship does not change what we say about a product.

2. What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a special URL containing a tracking code that identifies SaltyFuelShop as the referrer. When you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase, the merchant (or an affiliate network) records the referral and pays us a commission — typically a percentage of the sale.
You never pay more because of an affiliate link. The price you see on the merchant’s site is the price you pay.

4. How We Choose Products
Before we publish a review or recommendation, we:
- Personally use the product, or
- Conduct independent research (ingredient analysis, third-party testing, manufacturer disclosures, user feedback)
- Verify the claims made by the manufacturer against independent sources where possible
We decline affiliate opportunities for products we do not believe in. If we ever change our opinion about a product, we update or remove the related content.
Our editorial process is not for sale. A company cannot pay us to write a positive review or to hide a negative one.
5. What We Earn
Affiliate commissions vary by program and product. On a typical supplement purchase, commissions range from about 5% to 15% of the sale price. Some programs also offer longer cookie windows (for example, 30, 60, or 90 days) during which a commission is attributed to us after the initial click.
Affiliate income helps us keep the Site running, produce more content, and test more products. It does not determine what we recommend.
6. Sponsored Content
Occasionally, a brand may ask us to produce sponsored content — for example, a paid blog post, email, or social post. Whenever we publish sponsored content, we label it clearly as “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” “Ad,” or the equivalent, at the top of the content.
Our honest opinion still applies to sponsored content. If we cannot say something truthful and useful about a product, we decline the sponsorship.

When you click an affiliate link and purchase a product, you are purchasing directly from the third-party merchant. That merchant — not SaltyFuelShop — is responsible for:

- Payment processing
- Shipping, delivery, and fulfillment
- Returns, refunds, and warranty claims
- Customer service for the purchase

- We disclose material connections between SaltyFuelShop and any brand we endorse

- We do not post fake reviews, incentivized reviews without disclosure, or reviews written by anyone who has not actually used the product
